A new name from Japan is now causing a stir online, and it’s not a fortune teller, but a former manga artist.
Who is Ryo Tatsuki?
Ryo Tatsuki was known for drawing comics, but now she is more famous for her shocking predictions. Since the 1980s, she has dreamt of disasters around the world. She started writing them down in a diary, and in 1999, published a manga called 'The Future I Saw'.According to a TOI report, many of Tatsuki's dreams have come true and people are now taking her latest warning very seriously.
Past predictions that came true
She dreamt about Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of Queen in 1991 and he passed away only a few months later due to AIDS-related illness. In 1995, she predicted a massive earthquake in Kobe, Japan. This came true and killed more than 6,000 people.
Her most well-known prediction, though, came in 2011. She had written that a huge disaster would strike in March 2011. That turned out to be the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, which also caused the Fukushima nuclear crisis.
Her new prediction for July 2025
Tatsuki has now said that she dreamt of an even greater disaster, a mega-tsunami that could hit Japan and nearby countries in July 2025.She described the sea south of Japan as “boiling” with big bubbles, which she believes could be a sign of an underwater volcanic explosion. She thinks this could cause a tsunami three times larger than the one in 2011.
Countries like the Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia, and parts of Japan’s coastline could be affected.
What do experts say?
For now, there is no scientific evident of such a tsunami happening this year. However, scientists agree that Japan lies in a very risky zone, the Pacific Ring of Fire. Earthquakes and tsunamis are common here.Inputs from TOI
