A Japanese woman was manhandled during Holi celebrations in Delhi’s Paharganj area and after which the video of the harrowing incident went viral on the internet.

A Japanese woman, who was harassed by a group of men during Holi celebrations in Delhi on Wednesday, has taken to Twitter to express her feelings about the incident. She described it as "unfortunate" and revealed that she had taken part in the festival with 35 friends.
The woman in her Tweet said that she got to know that it was unsafe for females to go alone at the Holi celebrations, hence she went out with a large group at an Indian festival that she participated in. . A video of the incident showed a group of men smearing colour on the woman, who looked uncomfortable, and one of them smashing an egg on her head. It was filmed in the Paharganj area of the city. Although the woman has not yet filed a complaint, the police have taken cognizance of the video. So far, three people , one of whom is a minor, have been taken into custody.
