For the décor, people are buying a variety of items, including balloons, flowers, and other decorative materials. Additionally, they are purchasing a lovely swing and outfit for Laddoo Gopal Ji. A day ahead of time, everyone gets everything ready for his birthday. This will be Shri Krishna's 5251st birthday. August 26, 2024 is the day on which Krishna Janmashtami is observed this year.

Rules for fasting

1. Take a Sankalpa [Pledge]: Agree to observe the fast with utmost devotion to Lord Krishna, making sure to meticulously observe all the regulations. Continue reciting the name of Lord Krishna.

2. Start your fast at sunrise and break it during Parana time. Don't eat anything during the entire day.


3. One must avoid tamasik activities and food items.

4. Offering Tulsi Patra is one of the most essential rituals.

5. Feed cows on this holy day because cows are dear to Lord Krishna.

Steps to perform puja

1. Before you begin puja, get up early and take a holy bath.

2. Clean the house and the photo and idols of each God.

3. Give a bath to Laddoo Gopal Ji and the Lord Krishna. Decorate the swing with a well-cushioned sheet, then place Laddoo Gopal ji on it.

4. Put on a lovely dress, flowers, bangles, mukut, mor pankh, tulsi mala, and a chanda tilak on his forehead, then make him sit there. Give him some food, water, and tulsi patra.

5. Prepare for several forms of bhog prasad.

6. Once you've prepared all of the bhog prasad, serve it to the Lord and spend the day chanting his name and chants.

7. As the birthday celebrations begin in the evening, prepare a thali with various sorts of fruits, dry fruits, kamal gatta, paan supari, meetha paan, akshat, roli, various types of flowers including lotus, panchamrit, panjeeri, and homemade sweets.

8. Change into Baal Krishna's attire and celebrate his birthday at midnight with much devotion and excitement.

9. Offer bhog and recite aarti.

10. Visit the temple to seek Lord Krishna's blessings and to take prasad from there.

11. Fast watchers may break their fast during parana time. They must consume sattvik foods including fruits, dairy products, and sweets.
