Jamia Millia Islamia has opened admissions for the 2026-27 academic session, introducing 30 new programs across various disciplines. Fees remain unchanged for all courses, and admissions will now align with NEP 2020's Multiple Entry Mode for FYUP....

The institute has issued a 150-page prospectus, providing admissions details such as eligibility, application procedures, entrance exams, admit cards, syllabi, test centers, fees, and result timelines. Online applications for all programs are now open via the JMI portal.
Thirty New Programs Added, Fees Unchanged
JMI has introduced 30 new programs for the upcoming session. These include B.A. (Hons) in Japanese Studies, German Studies, Uzbek Language, Literature & Culture, and Human Resource Management. New postgraduate offerings include M.Sc. programs in Biosciences, Biotechnology, Botany, and Biophysics, as well as M.Tech in Material Science & Technology. B.Tech programs in Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, and Civil Engineering (Construction Technology) are also new, alongside LLM programs in Criminal, Corporate, and Personal Law. Certificate courses in painting and calligraphy, B.Voc. in Molecular Diagnostics, and Master of Hotel Management have also been added.
"Significantly, there has been no increase in fees for any course in 2026–27," confirmed CoE Prof. Haque. Admissions under the Multiple Entry Mode for Four-Year Undergraduate Programs (FYUP) will commence this session, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Test Centers Expanded, International Fees Revised
The university has increased its entrance test centers from eight to eleven, adding Jaipur, Dehradun, and Kishanganj. Existing centers include Delhi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Patna, Kolkata, Srinagar, Calicut, and Bhopal.
Fees for foreign students have been revised, with region-wise differentials for students from SAARC countries, West Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Online applications for programs requiring entrance tests are open until March 25, 2026. For programs based on JEE Mains, NATA, NEET for BPT, NCET, and CUET, applications will remain open for 10 days after results are declared. Applications for vacant seats in FYUP programs are open until April 10, 2026.
