Jacqueline Fernandez to appear before Delhi court in connection with Sukesh Chandrasekhar money laundering case

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez will be appearing before a Delhi court today in connection to the Sukesh Chandrasekhar money laundering case. According to media reports, the Kick actress will appear before the Patiala House Court on Monday for the Rs.200 crore racket involving the conman.

What’s the matter?

Sukesh Chandrasekhar is a millionaire conman who duped several business tycoons to accumulate wealth and dated top actresses in the country. While already in jail since 2017, Sukesh ran his errand successfully, duping several people for hundreds of crores. Sri Lankan actress Jacqueline Fernandez came in touch with the conman before he went to jail, and her name appeared in one of several cases related to Sukesh in August 2022.


The Enforcement Directorate named Jacqueline as an accused in a money laundering case involving Sukesh and informed the court that she was at a “flight risk.” The court granted her bail on September 26 on the condition that she wouldn't leave the country without prior permission of the court and would assist authorities with the investigation.

The ED had recorded Jacqueline’s statements in August and October of last year after she and Nora Fatehi admitted that they had received opulent gifts from the conman. Per reports, Jacqueline had admitted that she received luxury bags, apparel, jewelry, and also a Mini Cooper, which she returned. ED mentioned that the two actresses also got top models of BMW cars, which were the most expensive gifts they got.

The last date of the matter was November 24 but was adjourned to December 12.
