Narasimhan has joined the growing cohort of Indian-origin business leaders such as Parag Agrawal, Leena Nair, Satya Nadella and Sundar Pichai who are currently at the helm of multinational corporations.
After Laxman Narasimhan was named the new Chief Executive Officer of global coffee giant Starbucks, industrialist Anand Mahindra took to Twitter to reflect on the trend of hiring Indian-origin CEOs

“What was initially a trickle of water has turned into a Tsunami. The appointment of Indian-origin CEOs at the world's most iconic companies is now an unstoppable trend. International boardrooms consider them to be almost ‘safe' leadership bets,” the Mahindra Group Chairman wrote.

The caption was followed by a few rounds of applause.

His followers on the social media platform followed up with likes and comments.

"World is changing from Globally to Indian locally. Most of MNCs has Indian brain at the top," commented a user.

"As an Indian origin CEO/COO of a tech company I can see the big business move here. This is why we’re bringing #SolidBlockTech to India. Looking forward to work with you in the future Sir," commented another.
