“Itni door kyun job liya?”: Mumbai auto driver abandons woman mid-ride over job location, life choices

Ganvir wrote that the driver stopped mid-ride, saying, “Madam, itna dur nahi jaa sakta” (I cannot go that far). She further claimed that he questioned her choice of workplace, reportedly asking, “Itni door kyun job liya?” (Why did you take a job so far away?).
The driver then began speculating on her salary and expressed regret over accepting the trip. “Sometimes, your journey will be inconvenient for others and they will leave you in between. That’s okay. Just rate them 1 star and move on,” she wrote.

Reactions
The post received wide attention online, with users reacting in a mix of humour and frustration. “When podcasters turn cab drivers,” one user commented. Another said, “Everybody is extremely clever in calculating the salary of others.”
Others reflected on the behaviour more seriously. “18 km of dedication, and 1 km of unsolicited life advice. Auto rides in India really do offer full-stack experience,” one wrote. Another added, “Wonder if it was his own daughter, wife or sister. Would he have dropped her 1 km before the destination?”
Other man share his experience
This is not the only such incident making headlines. Last month, a Bengaluru resident reported that his autorickshaw driver began browsing Instagram during a routine commute. The user wrote on Reddit, “What made it worse was that he came across a post by Sreeleela (actor), and instead of just moving on, he actually slowed down the auto right in the middle of the main road to open her profile and scroll through her feed.”The commuter, in a hurry to reach the office, said he felt “completely helpless” at the situation.
