Ishaan Khatter starrer Pippa's makers clarify ‘baseless’ rumours. See is it releasing on OTT
The producer of Ishaan Khatter's Pippa has issued a statement denying that the film will be released on OTT.

Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur, the film's producers, and Kamal Gianchandani of PVR INOX, who represents the Multiplex Association Of India (MAI), have issued an official statement refuting the reports about the film's non-theatrical release. Several reports on Thursday claimed that the film would not be released in theatres. The statement was made public via the production companies' official Twitter account.

The post explained that it was in response to an article that appeared in a newspaper recently under the headline "Pipped For An OTT Release," which "made some totally unsupported allegations regarding alleged issues between Pippa's producers and multiplex operators, causing Pippa to opt for an OTT release.
The statement said there are no ongoing issues with multiplex operators. Any rumours or articles to the contrary are false and unfounded. We are all committed to collaborating to bring high-quality content to audiences in Indian cinemas. Pippa is a film that has been made for the big screen, and an official release date will be announced soon.
'Pippa,' a biopic about Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, is based on a true story. Ishaan plays the character of a war hero in the film, which is set during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. The film is directed by Raja Krishna Menon and stars Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan. AR Rahman is in-charge of the film's music.
