Bridgerton Season 4: Benedict meets Sophie Baek

Based on Julia Quinn’s third novel, An Offer from a Gentleman, Season 4 follows Benedict as he remains reluctant to settle down despite his mother’s best efforts. However, everything changes at a glittering masquerade ball when he encounters a captivating woman in a silver dress.

Unbeknownst to Benedict, the mysterious lady is Sophie Baek (played by newcomer Yerin Ha), a resourceful woman forced into a life of servitude as a maid for the demanding Lady Araminta Gun. The season explores themes of class, identity, and the "fairytale" search for a love that defies societal expectations. Returning cast members include Jonathan Bailey (Anthony), Simone Ashley (Kate), and Nicola Coughlan (Penelope), as the Bridgerton family navigates new scandals and domestic bliss.

Since its debut in December 2020, Bridgerton has become one of Netflix's most-watched original series, known for its diverse casting and modern take on Regency-era London. While the show famously skipped Benedict's book in Season 3 to focus on "Polin" (Colin and Penelope), showrunner Jess Brownell confirmed that Season 4 would return to the chronological order of Julia Quinn's beloved book series. Filming for this season primarily took place in the UK throughout 2025, utilizing new, expansive sets to bring the "fairytale" elements of Benedict and Sophie’s world to life.
