Iran-Israel War: Qatar Airways flight cancellations
The Qatar Airways Group has officially confirmed the temporary suspension of all flights to and from Doha. This decision follows the total closure of Qatari airspace in the wake of regional hostilities and reports from the Qatari Defense Ministry that it has repelled waves of Iranian attacks. To manage the crisis, the airline has deployed additional ground staff at Hamad International Airport and other key global hubs to assist stranded passengers. While the airline intends to resume operations as soon as the airspace re-opens, it has cautioned travelers to anticipate significant and lasting delays to the flight schedule once usual service is restored.Qatar Airways official post here:

Beyond direct cancellations, the conflict has forced a radical restructuring of global flight paths. Flightradar24 maps confirmed that the airspace over Iran and Iraq was completely empty on Saturday morning as airlines diverted planes to avoid potential missile paths and debris. Virgin Atlantic has announced it will temporarily avoid Iraqi airspace, leading to pre-planned rerouting for its long-haul network and the cancellation of its London Heathrow to Dubai service. Other carriers, such as LOT Polish Airlines and Japan Airlines, have been forced to turn flights back mid-route or cancel Tokyo-to-Doha connections, highlighting the precarious nature of international transit in a theater of active war.(With agencies inputs)
