The iQOO 16 is set to arrive later this month, and the company has now revealed a closer look at the smartphone’s redesigned rear panel. The new images show a square camera island with a distinctive triple-camera arrangement, along with several design elements that set the upcoming model apart from its predecessor.

The rear camera module is surrounded by a raised lip, which extends around the triple-camera setup and could provide some additional protection for the lenses. Unlike the cameras, the LED flash sits outside the module in the top-right corner. The camera island also carries “100x Tele” branding.

The ‘Light Chaser’ variant shown by iQOO features a distinctive hexagonal pattern across the rear panel. The smartphone appears to have a flat aluminium frame with rounded corners, giving the device a combination of flat-sided and curved elements. iQOO has also released a short video offering another look at the redesigned handset.

While the company has not yet confirmed the iQOO 16’s specifications, recent leaks have pointed to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme chipset. The phone is also expected to feature a flat 6.85-inch 2K display with a 165Hz refresh rate. Another reported specification is an 8,400mAh battery.

The iQOO 16 is expected to replace the iQOO 15, which was launched in India in November 2025. The previous model features a 6.85-inch 2K Samsung M14 8T LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, 508ppi pixel density and local peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits. It is powered by Qualcomm’s 3nm octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

The upcoming phone is also expected to be more expensive than its predecessor, according to a recent report. The iQOO 15 started at Rs 72,999 in India for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Its higher-end configuration with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage was priced at Rs 79,999.
