iQOO has officially announced that its next-generation flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, will debut in India next month. The device is confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and will run on the brand’s Android 16-based OriginOS 6, which was launched recently.

The iQOO 15 is set to make its first appearance in China on October 20. Detailed specifications and features are expected to be revealed following the China launch.






iQOO expected specifications and features



The Chinese variant of the iQOO 15 is confirmed to include a Q3 gaming chip alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, promising enhanced gaming performance with full-scenario ray tracing and improved frame stability. The phone will reportedly support 144fps gameplay at 2K resolution and feature an 8K vapour chamber Dome cooling system, which is said to offer 47 percent better thermal efficiency than the iQOO 13.

The iQOO 15 is also confirmed to feature a Warhammer MAX dual-axis motor that supports bidirectional X- and Z-axis vibration for an enhanced gaming experience. The handset will also include War Drum Master Pro symmetrical dual speakers.

Display leaks suggest the device will sport a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO Samsung “Everest” AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 6,000 nits peak brightness. It is also expected to come with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and IP68/IP69 rating for water and dust resistance.

iQOO battery and camera details



The iQOO 15 is rumoured to house a 7,000mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. On the rear, the smartphone may include a triple-camera setup comprising a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical and 100x digital zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. A 50MP front-facing camera is expected for selfies and video calls.

iQOO Competition and market positioning



The iQOO 15 is anticipated to be one of the first Chinese flagships to launch in India this season. The earlier launch schedule may be aimed at positioning it ahead of the expected OnePlus 15 debut in mid-November.
