IPL Orange and Purple Caps: Chahal one wicket away from passing Hasaranga, Buttler on the verge of shattering Kohli's record
Rajasthan Royals sit atop the Orange and Purple Cap tables after a convincing seven-wicket win against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the second qualifier, which sent them to their first final since the season began.

Jos Buttler's outstanding brilliance in the first part of the league stage petered down in the second half, but he seemed to bury those ghosts as he bludgeoned Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) into oblivion and led Rajasthan Royals to their first final since 2008. Buttler hit an undefeated 106 off 60 balls, giving him his fourth century of the season. He so matched Virat Kohli's record for most century in a single season, and now stands a good chance of breaking it in the final.
On Sunday, RR will meet Gujarat Titans in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Cap in orange:
Buttler has been the clear leader in the Orange Cap table for much of the season, and his century on Friday has just widened the distance. With 824 runs scored in 16 innings with a strike rate of 151.47 and an average of 58.86, he now has a season total of 824 runs. Buttler has also hit four half-centuries in addition to his four centuries. Buttler's record is now the third most runs scored in a single season, and he's on the verge of passing David Warner's mark of 1,065 runs. However, unless Buttler scores over 150 runs in the final, Kohli's incredible record of 973 runs, which he set in the same season, may be out of reach. Meanwhile, RCB captain Faf du Plessis has 468 runs in 16 innings and is now in fourth place, 15 runs behind GT captain Hardik Pandya.
