IPL 2023 updates: Complete list of injured players who are ruled out of this season

IPL 2023 season will mark its beginning on March 31, 2023 with a fiery game between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Though IPL 2023 is around the corner, many franchises have expressed their grief after missing out some crucial players. Here is a list of players who are excluded from IPL 2023.

Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the IPL 2023 season and is currently rehabilitating from his ongoing back problem.


Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant, who is the captain of Delhi Capitals, will miss IPL 2023 due to his car accident, which happened on December 31, 2022.

Kyle Jamieson is recovering from a back ailment, while
Jhye Richardson is undergoing surgery for a hamstring problem.

Will Jacks, an all-rounder for England, will also miss the IPL 2023 due to an injury.

Jonny Bairstow has been sidelined since September last year and his participation has not been officially confirmed.

Anrich Nortje, who is recovering from an injury, is not yet confirmed. Prasidh Krishna will be absent for the full campaign. Sarfaraz Khan may miss the 2023 IPL because of an injury.

Franchises added significant players during the IPL 2023 auction with a lot of excitement. Sam Curran hired for Rs 18.5 crore by Punjab Kings became the most expensive player in IPL history. Ben Stokes joined Chennai Super Kings for Rs 16.25 crore while Cameron Green was signed by Mumbai Indians for Rs 17.5 crore.

The same auction saw SunRisers Hyderabad buy Harry Brook and Mayank Agarwal for Rs 13.25 crore and Rs 8.25 crore, respectively, and Nicholas Pooran joined Lucknow SuperGiants for Rs 16 crore.
