The Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL) will be started streaming on JioCinema, according to Reliance Jio. On March 31 the IPL 2023 season will start with Gujarat Titans vs. Chennai Super Kings. This season will be available online in 4K resolution (UltraHD). Until now, only those who paid for a subscription to Disney+ Hotstar in India could watch the IPL matches.

As a result, telecom operators such as Jio and Airtel offer prepaid plans that include Disney+ Hotstar subscriptions, allowing people to watch IPL matches without paying extra for membership.

JioCinema, like the FIFA World Cup 2022 Multicam feature, will allow users to switch among different camera angles for all 74 matches. JioPhone users can watch IPL 2023 for free because the feature phone supports JioCinema. On phones, the app will display statistics such as the score and pitch heat map, while those watching on a big screen will see the information alongside the match.

Users of JioCinema will be able to watch the matches in 12 different languages, including English, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, and Bhojpuri, to name a few. When you switch between languages, not only will the commentary change but so will the statistics and graphics.

The company is also expected to reveal its much-touted Jio Media Cable accessory, which will allow people with non-smart TVs that lack HDMI ports to stream matches using their phones. While Reliance has not confirmed anything, rumours suggest that the company is working on an affordable virtual reality headset known as JioDive as well as virtual reality glasses known as JioGlass. Users may be able to experience IPL in a 360-degree format with these devices.
