In addition to the performances by movie industry icons, the ceremony will also include several cultural acts.

The upcoming IPL opening ceremony marks the first ceremony to take place since 2018, as the BCCI decided to cancel the ceremony in 2019 as a tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the Pulwama attack in February of that year. Additionally, the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions from 2020 to 2022 prevented large gatherings, hence, the ceremony could not take place during those years.
