IPL 2023 KKR vs RCB: When and where to watch, squad details and more

According to the head-to-head record, Kolkata Knight Riders have won three of their last five matches against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will face the Kolkata Knight Riders at their home ground Eden Gardens on Thursday, April 6, in the 2023 Indian Premier League. While RCB may seem confident in today’s match after an excellent victory in their previous game against Mumbai Indians, beating them by 8 wickets, KKR will hope to get their first win this season.

For Royal Challengers Bangalore, Eden Gardens hold some bittersweet memories. In the 2019 IPL season, they won the Eliminator at Kolkata’s home ground and fans saw Virat Kohli leading the team to a total of 213. But, 2017 was a disappointing edition after Kohli’s entire squad crumbled at 49 runs.

RCB will look for an opportunity to make a fresh start at Eden Gardens while KKR’s captain Nitish Rana will look for the team's comeback after their fall against Punjab Kings in a rain-affected match.

KKR have decided to replace Shakib Al Hasan, so he will not be available for the game against RCB. Du Plesis’s squad have temporarily lost Reece Topley after a shoulder injury.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore’s batsmen have started well in this IPL edition with Virat Kohli and Faf du Plesis putting 148 on the scoreboard for the opening wicket, the team will look for a charismatic victory in this match.

Nitish Rana may have to think over some of his decisions to build a strong squad today after the loss against Punjab.
