IPL 2023: Bahubali fame Tamannaah Bhatia to perform in grand opening ceremony

At the Indian Premier League (IPL) opening ceremony Tamannaah Bhatia is scheduled to perform on March 31 at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. Tamanna who has appeared in Tamil and Telugu films will take the stage during the star-studded opening ceremony.

The event will take place during the first match between the defending champions Gujarat Titans and the four-time champion Chennai Super Kings.

While making an announcement the Indian Premier League's official Twitter account wrote, "Join Tamanna in the breathtaking TATA IPL Opening Ceremony on March 31, 2023, at 6 PM IST on Star Sports India and Jio Cinema as we rejoice in the biggest cricket celebration at the largest cricket stadium in the world, Narendra Modi Stadium!"


After two years of being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament will return to its home and away format. Several top performers are anticipated to perform at the opening ceremony.

In 2022, the Gujarat Titans shocked everyone by winning the IPL championship in their first season, largely due to the leadership of captain Hardik Pandya. The debutants performed admirably, with Rashid Khan, Mohammed Shami, Rahul Tewatia and David Miller emerging as the standouts.

Rashmika Mandanna is also going to be performing at the occasion in addition to Tamanna. Several famous people, including Tiger Shroff, Arijit Singh and Katrina Kaif are scheduled to perform at the opening ceremony.

Tamannaah Bhatia made her acting debut in the 2005 film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra, which also starred Samir Aftab. She also worked in the Bahubali franchise helmed by SS Rajamouli. She will next be seen with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Bole Chudiyaan.
