iPhone users can now make WhatsApp stickers from pictures in gallery directly. Check how
WhatsApp's new update allows iPhone users to make stickers using the pictures in the gallery without the use of third-party apps.

This is the first time WhatsApp has made the sticker-making process easy for iPhone users, as earlier it only provided a solution that let Android and iPhone users make sticker packs on apps like Sticker.ly, sticker maker and import it to WhatsApp.
It is important to note that this feature is not available for users running iOS 15 or below. It can only run on iOS 16 as its API allows WhatsApp to separate subjects from pictures and convert them into stickers. The iPhone user must also have the latest WhatsApp version installed on the phone. The picture must be clicked in portrait for WhatsApp to be able to detect the object or person.
Here’s the step-by-step guide to customise WhatsApp stickers using the saved pictures in the phone.
1. To create your own stickers, select the picture. Now, long press the person or object you want to separate from the image to make a sticker.
2. Drag and drop that object or person into the WhatsApp conversation.
3. WhatsApp will ask whether to convert the image into a sticker. Once you're done, your sticker will be added to the sticker panel for use in messages.
