Apple iPhone 18 Pro: Expected design, display, colours options and launch timeline

Each year, Apple typically introduces one standout colour that becomes especially popular among buyers. In the iPhone 16 Pro lineup, it was the Desert Titanium shade, while the iPhone 17 Pro saw strong demand for the Cosmic Orange variant.

Apple is reportedly experimenting with a deep red color option for the iPhone 18 Pro.

Design and Display


The design of the iPhone 18 Pro is not expected to see major changes. It will likely retain the signature flat-edge design along with the triple-camera setup on the rear. The display sizes are also expected to remain unchanged, with the Pro featuring a 6.3-inch screen and the Pro Max a 6.9-inch display.

Performance

On the performance front, there is expected to be a notable upgrade. The iPhone 18 Pro will likely be powered by Apple’s upcoming A20 chip, built on a more advanced 2nm process. This should also lead to improved battery efficiency, with the Pro Max model potentially featuring a larger battery capacity.

Apple is also expected to introduce its first-ever foldable iPhone, either alongside or after the Pro models. The device will likely be available in limited colour options, including silver, white, and an Indigo shade reminiscent of earlier blue finishes.

As for the launch, Apple Inc. is expected to follow its usual September schedule for unveiling the Pro models in 2026. However, the standard iPhone 18 could be introduced later, possibly in 2027, as part of a more staggered release strategy. Additionally, with the Pro lineup, Apple may debut its first-ever foldable iPhone, marking its entry into the foldable smartphone segment.
