iPhone 17 price dropped after iPhone 18 pro launch? Check new prices of older iPhones including iPhone 17 series and iPhone 16

Apple has increased the prices of several iPhone models in India following the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro series, with rates going up across both current-generation and older models. There has been no price drop across the models, with the revised rates reflecting an increase instead.

iPhone 17 price increased:

The base iPhone 17, which was launched at Rs 82,900 for the 256GB variant, is now priced at Rs 99,900. The 512GB variant now costs Rs 1,24,900. The smartphone is available in five finishes — mist blue, sage, lavender, black and white.

Apple has also raised the prices of the iPhone 16, iPhone 17e and iPhone Air.

iPhone 17 series price in India:

The iPhone 17e has received a Rs 15,000 price increase, moving from its introductory price of Rs 64,900 to Rs 79,900.

The standard iPhone 17 has seen a Rs 17,000 increase, with its price rising from Rs 82,900 to Rs 99,900.

The biggest increase is for the iPhone Air, which is now priced at Rs 1,49,900, up Rs 30,000 from its initial price of Rs 1,19,900.

iPhone 17 features and specifications

The iPhone 17 features a 6.3-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a feature previously limited to Apple's top-end Pro models. It offers peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits and supports an always-on display.

The display uses a newly formulated Ceramic Shield 2 for improved protection against everyday scratches, along with an anti-reflective coating designed to reduce glare in bright sunlight.

The smartphone is powered by Apple's A19 SoC, which is designed to support upcoming artificial intelligence (AI) features and deliver improved performance, including for mobile gaming.

Apple has also upgraded the camera system. The rear setup combines a 48MP primary camera with an integrated 2x telephoto crop, along with an upgraded 48MP ultra-wide camera.

The front camera has been upgraded to an 18MP square sensor, allowing users to capture wider landscape-oriented photos without turning the phone sideways. It also supports Center Stage, which automatically keeps subjects centred during video calls.

Apple claims the iPhone 17 offers up to 30 hours of video playback, eight hours more than the iPhone 16.

iPhone Air features and specifications

The iPhone Air features a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate, Always-On display, Dynamic Island and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness.

It is powered by Apple's A19 Pro chip and comes with a 48MP Fusion rear camera and an 18MP Center Stage front camera.

The smartphone also offers up to 27 hours of video playback, along with fast charging and wireless charging support.
