Naina's father, Ashwani Kumar lodged the case in Hyderabad and claims that his daughter has been facing harassment on social media over the span of the past two months. According to police sources, a case on the charges of stalking, indecent gestures, acts intended to insult the modesty of a woman has been registered.
A notice under Section 41 of CrPC (appearance before police officer) has been served to the accused.
According to the Supreme Court guidelines, the notice should be served without arresting the accused, is the punishment is for less than seven years of imprisonment.
Naina Jaiswal, a resident of Hyderabad, was the youngest person to become a post-graduate in Asia by completing her post graduation from Osmania University at the age of 15. She also became the youngest journalism graduate in India at the age of 13. She is also a professional table-tennis player who has won multiple titles in both national and international championships.
