Instagram is reportedly testing a new feature that will allow users to reply to stories and posts with animated images or GIFs. The new feature is in its testing phase and is reportedly being rolled out in a phased manner. With this new feature, Instagram users will search for GIFs from GIPHY and post them in the comments sections as a reply.

Currently, the new feature is being tested and would be rolled out on a large scale in the coming weeks. Earlier, Instagram allowed users to post GIF stickers to stories, but did not have the feature to allow users to reply with GIF stickers.

The way to use this feature for replying to a post or story is that the user needs to type a keyword which he/she wants to express with the help of GIF in the comment box. Then the user needs to select the GIF icon and then select the desired GIF from the GIFs that appear in the GIPHY library. Then the user just needs to hit enter and post it as a reply.
