Infant dies after mother mistakenly places her in oven

In a tragic incident, an infant in United States' Missouri lost her life when her mother accidentally put her down for a nap in an oven, according to a prosecutor. The incident occurred in Kansas City, and the mother, Mariah Thomas, has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

As per reports, the child had burn marks and was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a statement from Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney Jean Peters Baker, a witness informed authorities that the mother, Mariah Thomas, had accidentally placed the child in the oven instead of the crib while putting her down for a nap.
