Acting on specific information, an SSB team apprehended Ranjeet Giri, a resident of Gopalpur in Bihar, on Sunday morning and recovered a large quantity of marijuana from his possession, SSB Assistant Commandant Dinesh Chandra Biswas told PTI.
Another member of the group managed to escape during the operation, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest him, officials said.

According to the SSB, Giri had allegedly procured the contraband from Nepal and was transporting it in a truck when he was intercepted. He is suspected to have been supplying drugs in the region.
The seized narcotic substance is estimated to be worth around Rs 20 crore in the international market. After preliminary interrogation, the accused has been handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau.
Investigators suspect that Giri was acting as a carrier for a larger network and are continuing to question him to gather further details. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, officials said.
