IndiGo has been trolled on social media for referring to an Indian breakfast as a salad.

On January 28, IndiGo airlines turned to its official Twitter handle , to show internet users a picture of their freshly prepared meal. IndiGo posted a picture of a plate of ‘Poha’ with a slice of lemon squeezed into it to demonstrate its freshness. The image, though, said “Fresh Salads”, which didn't fit well with the Desi snack. This piqued the interest of Indian Twitter users, who began digging down at IndiGo for ‘their’ version of salad.

While some online users trolled IndiGo Airlines for misrepresenting salad, others laughed it off. One person commented, “If you are talking to us, it is called a snack "poha ".

Users utilised their sarcastic comments to enjoy this situation. One comic comment was, “Everyone in Indore is so healthy that they eat fresh poha salad with sprinkled vermicelli (sev) and a lovely dressing (rasa)”. Another online user remarked “So Indore (renowned for its poha) is now known as India's Salad Capital?”
