Around a week ago, Hrishi posted a video on his Instagram handle featuring him singing the song. What was interesting about this cover version was that he had blended elements of Carnatic music with the hugely popular track by Sheeran. The caption on the video read “If Ed Sheeran sang Southern Indian (Carnatic) music…”.
The cover version begins with Hrishi singing a few lines from the original song. Soon enough, you see him rendering some Carnatic classical notes that add a new color to the track.

The fusion has caught the attention of social media users.
