An Indian entrepreneur has sparked an online discussion after expressing surprise at being told that it is now “almost impossible” to find a woman who is vegetarian and does not drink or smoke.

Sai Krishna, founder of Superblog.ai, shared his experience in a post on the social media platform X. He revealed that during a conversation with the founder of a matchmaking app, he was asked about his deal breakers.

In his post, Sai Krishna wrote: “met with the founder of a matchmaking app, she asks for deal breakers.”

He explained that for him, drinking and smoking were clear deal breakers. He also added that being vegetarian was non-negotiable when it came to potential matches.

According to Sai Krishna, the matchmaker responded by saying that a woman who is vegetarian and does not drink or smoke is now “almost impossible” to find. The statement left him visibly surprised and prompted him to share the interaction publicly.

Online Reactions Pour In

Social media users were divided in their responses. One user commented: “Such people aren't found on matching apps, their rishta is made by their parents in known family,”. Sai Krishna replied curtly to this, saying: “Good for them.”

Another user disagreed with the matchmaker’s claim and wrote: “Absolutely possible. Go out and attend more Indian weddings, in and outside India both."

According to his LinkedIn profile, Sai Krishna is currently based in the UK. His post has resonated with many, triggering conversations about how urban lifestyles, dating apps, and shifting social norms may be influencing relationship expectations — and whether traditional preferences still have space in modern matchmaking.
