Indian cricketer Shardul Thakur married his girlfriend Mittali Parulkar on Monday, becoming the third well-known Indian player to marry in 2023 after KL Rahul and Axar Patel. The wedding ceremony took place in Mumbai where many of Shardul's colleagues were present. At the Sangeet ritual on Sunday, people like KKR captain Shreyas Iyer, Abhishek Nayar, and Indian skipper Rohit Sharma were present.


Shardul shared his pictures on Instagram with Parulkar and has received over 4.5 lakh likes. Celebs like Virat Kohli, Virender Sehwag, and Yuzvendra Chahal have congratulated the couple in the comments. Video clips from the Haldi ceremony, where Shardul danced to some well-known Bollywood tunes and won the affection of cricket supporters, also surfaced earlier in the week. The couple has been dating for a long time and publicly announced their engagement in 2021.


In this IPL season, Shardul will play for KKR for the first time. He has previously played for Kings XI Punjab, and Rising Pune Supergiant but he became a mainstay when he was acquired by Chennai Super Kings in 2018. Shardul will join the ODI squad of Team India when the series against Australia starts in March.
