Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme 124th course registration begins today at joinindianarmy.nic.in: Check dates, age limit, stipend steps to apply, eligibility and more

The Indian Army has released a notification for the NCC Special Entry Scheme 124th Course starting in October 2026. The entry offers a Short Service Commission (non-technical) to unmarried male and female graduates, including wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army personnel. Eligible applicants holding an NCC ‘C’ Certificate and meeting the prescribed educational qualifications can apply online through the official website, joinindianarmy.nic.in.

The NCC Special Entry Scheme 124th Course will begin its online registration process on February 13, 2026 and it is a golden opportunity for those who want to join as officers. A total of 76 vacancies have been announced for unmarried male and female candidates, including wards of battle casualties of Army personnel.

NCC Special Entry 2026: Qualifications needed, stipend

Candidates won't have to appear for any written examination under this entry as they will be shortlisted directly for further stages. Interested applicants must submit their forms before the closing date of March 16, 2026.

The online application process will begin on February 13, 2026, and will continue until March 16, 2026. Candidates are advised to complete their registration well in advance without waiting for the deadline. Of the 76 total posts, 63 are earmarked for NCC male candidates and five for NCC female candidates. Additionally, seven posts are reserved for male dependents of martyred soldiers and one for a female dependent. Asp er reports, candidates may receive stipend of Rs 56,100 per month during the training period.

Indian army NCC special entry 2025: Eligibility and age limit

Age: 19 to 25 years as on July 1, 2026

Birth date range: Between July 2, 2001, and July 1, 2007 (both dates inclusive)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks

Final-year students eligible if they have secured at least 50% marks in previous years of their course

NCC Special Entry 2026: Selection and Application process

There will be no written examination for this entry and applications will be shortlisted

Shortlisted candidates will appear for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview at the Indian Army

Candidates clearing SSB will undergo a medical examination. Final merit list based on SSB performance and medical fitness
