India Post Recruitment 2022: Details of posts vacant, how to apply and required criteria

India Post has put out vacancies for posts of Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, Postman and Multi-Tasking Staff. They have issued a new notice regarding the same.

Applications will have to sent in by 27 July 2022. Candidates can apply through the official online portal of India Post.

Here is a list of the salary for the India Post job vacancies:

• Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant - Rs.25,500- Rs.81,100 - in Level-4 as per Pay Matrix given in Part A Schedule of Central Civil Services, Revised Pay Rules of 2016 plus admissible allowances.
• Postman - Rs.21,700- to Rs.69,100 in Level-3 as per Pay Matrix given in Part-A Schedule of Central Civil Services Revised Pay Rules of 2016 plus admissible allowances.
• MTS - Rs.18,000 to Rs.56,900 as per Pay Matrix specified in Part-A of Schedule of Central Civil Services Revised Rules of 2016 plus admissible allowances.

The eligibility criteria required are:

• Postal and Sorting Assistant - The candidates must be 12th pass or any equivalent exam from a recognized university or Board of School Education or Board of Secondary Education. The candidate will be required to produce a certificate of Basic Computer Training from a recognized Computer Training Institute before being issued the appointment letter.
• Postman - 12th pass and awareness of the local language.
• MTS - 10th Pass and awareness of the local language.

Age limit

• Postal and Sorting Assistant - 18 - 27 years.
• Postman - 18 - 27 years.
• MTS - 18 - 25 years.

The candidates will be selected on the basis of their educational and sports qualifications and the other given criteria for the positions. The sports qualifications required are as follows:

• Sportsmen who have represented a state or the country in the National or International competition in any games or sports are listed in the PDF document.
• Sportsmen who have represented their University in the Inter-University tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports in any games or sports listed in the PDF document.
• Sportsmen who have represented the State Schools Teams in the National Sports or Games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federations in any of the games or sports listed in the PDF document.
• Sportsmen who have been felicitated with National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.
