'India defeated Pakistan twice:' Memes after loss to South Africa

Incisive bowling by pacer Lungi Ngidi and brilliant half-centuries from Aiden Markram and David Miller helped South Africa defeat India by five wickets in their Group 2, Super 12 match of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup on Sunday.

With this win, South Africa is at top of the table in Group 2 with five points and two wins in three matches. India is in second position with four points and two wins in three. Pakistan is in third place with just one win in three matches and is more or less out of reckoning.

The nail on Pakistan's chances in the World Cup was arch-rival India's loss against South Africa. So, the disappointment of Indian fans on social media over their team's loss was overshadowed by memes over Pakistan's waning hopes.


One of them said that India faced Pakistan once but defeated the team twice.


However former India player Wasim Jaffer put things in perspective by saying that Pakistan have themselves to blame for their WC fiasco.

David Miller (59*) and Aiden Markram (52) built the crucial 76-run partnership for the fifth wicket that helped South Africa reach the finishing line. During his 46-ball stint, Miller hit three sixes and four fours. Markram struck six fours and a six.
