As the dust settles after Chetan Sharma’s resignation, a fan’s placard at the Arun Jaitley Stadium has gone viral. The fan, who was observed in the stands, scribbled “Virat Kohli is Bigger Than the BCCI”, and the photograph has been spreading on the internet and social media.

Sharma’s viral video includes his comments on Virat Kohli, including how the former India captain had a disagreement with then-president Sourav Ganguly, resulting in an ego conflict between the two.
Chetan Sharma made surprising assertions, including Kohli’s belief that he was superior to the BCCI and his desire to destroy Ganguly. After Kohli was fired as ODI captain in late 2021, Sharma said that Virat had lied when he declared he had not been asked to reconsider his resignation as India’s T20I captain, maintaining that Ganguly had.
In the middle of all of this, Virat Kohli, who is playing his first Test match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium field in six years, has received an outpouring of support, including from the fan holding the banner. Kohli personally drove down to the venue before the Test match, sending the Delhi fans in a frenzy when he drove away in his Porsche after practising.
