In the two videos posted on social media, the woman alleged that the man had touched her inappropriately while travelling on a private bus. The videos were recorded inside the bus during a journey from Payyannur railway station in Kannur last Friday.
The woman, who is from Areekode, shared the footage on social media, where it quickly gained widespread attention.
Deepak’s relatives and local residents have strongly denied the allegations, claiming they were false.
Deepak, who was employed at a garment firm, was living with his parents at the time. On Sunday morning, family members became concerned when he did not come out of his room. At around 7 am, he was found hanging from a ceiling fan.
Following the discovery, the Medical College Police were informed and arrived at the residence to conduct inquest proceedings.
After the completion of a post-mortem examination, Deepak’s body was handed over to his family. Police have registered a case of unnatural death.
Deepak is survived by his father, Choyi, and mother, Kanyaka.
Meanwhile, the woman who posted the videos has reportedly maintained that she stands by the allegations made in the footage.
