Impact in Delhi and NCR
Today, heavy rainfall has been impacting parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), including Noida. Consequently, waterlogging was observed on roadways near the Badarpur metro station in Delhi.
Maharashtra Rainfall
Meanwhile, in Maharashtra, the forecast indicates moderate rainfall across much of North Konkan, with South Konkan-Goa anticipated to experience light to moderate showers. Furthermore, several areas in North Madhya Maharashtra, a handful of regions in South Madhya Maharashtra, and isolated spots in Marathwada are expected to encounter light to moderate precipitation.

"There are regular landslides and flash floods, we have issued alerts for landslide and flash floods in Sirmaur, Solan and Shimla districts. It will continue in the near future. We usually have monsoon, we are expecting that the rainfall will continue during the next 48 hours in the state," said Surender Paul, Head of IMD Himachal Pradesh.
Since the onset of the monsoon on June 24, the mountainous state has witnessed a tragic toll of 200 fatalities in rain-related events and road mishaps. An additional 238 individuals have suffered injuries, while 32 individuals remain unaccounted for, according to the most recent information from the central authorities, as conveyed by PTI.

Between August 4th and 8th, isolated instances of heavy rainfall are expected in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh; Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh-Delhi from August 4th to 6th; East Rajasthan on August 4th and 5th; and Jammu on August 5th, 2023. Additionally, isolated occurrences of very heavy rainfall are anticipated in East Uttar Pradesh during August 4th to 7th, in Uttarakhand from August 4th to 6th, and in West Uttar Pradesh on August 4th.
Central India:
Isolated instances of heavy rainfall are very likely in Madhya Pradesh on August 4th and 5th.
Northeast India: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, as well as Nagaland and Manipur, are predicted to experience isolated occurrences of heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next four days.
South India:
Subdued rainfall activity is expected in the South region over the next four days, according to the IMD forecast. On August 5th, Tamil Nadu is expected to experience hot and humid weather conditions.
