"I'm safe, My people are safe. Thank you to everyone who reached out to me. Your support means everything," AP Dhillon stated on Instagram.
The shooting incident involved two locations in Canada - Victoria Island and Woodbridge, Toronto, according to an unverified post purportedly made by Rohit Godara. He claimed he targeted Dhillon's house due to the singer’s collaboration with Salman Khan in a music video.
AP Dhillon has gained prominence for his unique blend of 80s-style synth-pop with Punjabi music. His rise to global recognition has been marked by popular songs like 'Brown Munde,' 'Excuses,' 'Summer High,' 'With You,' 'Dil Nu,' and 'Insane.'
In November of the previous year, Lawrence Bishnoi, a gangster allegedly responsible for similar incidents, claimed responsibility for a shooting at singer Gippy Grewal's house in Canada. This event reportedly occurred in the White Rock neighborhood in Vancouver.
Earlier in April, an incident involving two motorcycle-borne individuals firing outside Salman Khan's residence at the Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai's Bandra area was noted. The Mumbai police have labeled jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his younger brother Anmol Bishnoi as "wanted accused" in connection with the shooting.
