IIT Kanpur to declare GATE 2023 results on March 16

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur will announce the results of the GATE 2023 examination on 16th March 2023. The results will be available after 4:00 pm in the candidate application portal, IITK has announced.

Candidates can access the answer keys by logging into their accounts. Candidate Responses will be accessible through login, the institute said.The GATE 2023 exam was held last month. The exam was open to all undergraduate student currently in 3rd year or higher years of any government approved program in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Arts/Commerce/Science.

The exam will be conducted by IISc Bangalore and seven IITs (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee), on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GoI).

How is the GATE score used for admission and recruitment?
Qualified GATE score can be used for seeking admission and/or financial assistance to : (i) Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts; and (ii) Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Arts and Science, in the institutions supported by the MoE and other Government agencies. GATE score is also used by some colleges and institutions for giving admission to students without MoE scholarship/assistantship. Further, many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have been using the GATE score in their recruitment process.
