ICAI CA Foundation result 2022: Result to be out this week. Here's where to check

The ICAI is expected to release the result of the CA Foundation course held in December 2022 by this week. Candidates who appeared for the examination would be able to see their results on icai.nic.in and icai.org web platforms.

Reportedly, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will likely release an official announcement confirming the result date anytime now on its official websites. Dhiraj Khandelwal, CCM of ICAI, has revealed via a Twitter post that the institute could roll out the ICAI CA Foundation results on February 3 or 4. The chief has advised the students to wait for an official confirmation from ICAI regarding the result release.




Thousands of aspiring chartered accountancy students appeared for the CA Foundation exam between December 14 to December 20 in exam centres across India. The ICAI has recently released the results of the CA Intermediate and CA Final levels. Candidates are now waiting for the results of the CA Foundation exam, which will serve as the beginning of their journey to becoming chartered accountants. The Foundation course is the first level of the Chartered Accountancy examination in India.

• Visit the official ICAI websites icai.nic.in and icai.org.
• The homepage of the website gets displayed on the screen. On the homepage, tap the link to access the ICAI CA Foundation result held in December 2022.
• Fill in the details required by the website. This includes the registration number, date of birth, and other details.
• The CA Foundation result gets displayed.
• Download and take a printout of the result for future use.

About the CA Foundation course

The Chartered Accountancy Foundation course was earlier referred to as the Common Proficiency Test or CPT. Students who have cleared Class 12 or equivalent examinations are eligible to apply for the ICAI CA Foundation exam. ICAI organises the Foundation exam twice a year in May and November/December to enrol students in the chartered accountancy course.


The minimum passing marks to clear the exam is 50%. The total marks for the CA foundation course are 100, where students get one mark for every right answer and lose 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. The exam is held offline in designated exam centres.
