‘I resigned without an offer letter’ three times
“Yes, I did resign without an offer letter, not once, not twice, but thrice. And that was something really interesting which I did for myself. I trusted myself, I put down my paper, and then started searching for the job, which I was able to crack in maybe a month, every time. And I joined the next company as soon as my notice was over in my previous company. So, this was like a really good journey which helped me understand my strengths and weaknesses,” she said.In the accompanying caption, she clarified that none of the resignations came with a guaranteed next step.
“I resigned three times without having another offer. Not because I had everything figured out, not because I knew what would happen next, but because sometimes, you need to give yourself a chance before you have all the answers,” she wrote.
She said choosing uncertainty was difficult, but each move helped her better understand her career and what she wanted from it.
She says self-doubt followed every resignation
In another video, she discussed what happened after handing in her resignation and said the uncertainty did not disappear once the decision was made.“Nobody talks about this part that comes next. A few days after I resigned, I started questioning everything. Did I make the right decision? What if I don't find something? Will I regret this? I have resigned three times without any offer letter. And honestly, every single time, it has scared me,” she said.
She also said she found herself comparing her choices with people who changed jobs only after receiving another offer.
“But somewhere within that uncertainty, I realised something. I wasn't leaving because I had a better opportunity waiting. I was leaving because I needed to create space for myself to figure out what I actually wanted to do,” she added.
She wrote in another caption, “Being scared didn't necessarily mean I was making the wrong decision. Sometimes, it just meant the decision mattered to me.”

Social media users debate quitting without a job offer
The videos drew mixed reactions, with several users saying they could relate to the uncertainty she described. One user wrote, “This is so relatable.”
Another said, “This takes a lot of courage,” while a third commented, “The uncertainty is the hardest part.”
Another person said, “A lot of people will relate to this.”
Some users, however, questioned whether resigning without another job lined up works equally well for everyone.
One commenter said, “People with low salary or mid range salary can do this but not someone with higher package.”
Another wrote, “Not recommended for higher experience candidate or managerial role.”
A further user questioned how such a career move might be explained during recruitment, asking, “How do you explain leaving a job without another, given HR often views this as a red flag like being fired or forced to resign?”
