“I get no response at all”: Claude users report blank replies as AI platform appears to face outage

Users across multiple countries reported problems accessing Claude on Wednesday, with many saying Anthropic's AI chatbot stopped responding to prompts or returned blank responses.

Reports began surfacing on social media and community forums, where users described a similar issue: prompts appeared to send successfully, but Claude either failed to generate a response or returned an empty result almost immediately.

One user wrote on claude sureddit 30 minutes ago: "When I send a prompt I get no response, it returns empty immediately with my prompt still in the box."


The user added that the problem was occurring on both the Claude web app and the Android application.

As more users joined the discussion, several confirmed they were facing the same issue.

Downdetector Claude AI: Thousands report issues on outage trackers

The complaints coincided with a spike in reports on Downdetector, a platform that tracks service disruptions based on user submissions.

According to Downdetector data, more than 2,000 users in the United States reported issues with Claude. In India, the platform showed over 1,800 reports at the time the disruption was being discussed online.

Users reported problems ranging from failed responses and stalled chats to difficulties accessing the service altogether.

Claude Status page: Issue 'identified'

Claude status page updated with 'Identified - We have identified the cause of the issue affecting Claude.ai and are working on a fix. We will provide an update as soon as possible,' this statement.

Companies often take time to verify incidents before updating official status dashboards, which can result in delays between the start of an outage and public acknowledgement.

Claude AI outage: Comes weeks after a previous disruption

The latest reports come just weeks after Claude experienced another service disruption earlier this month.

On June 3, Anthropic's AI platform faced an outage that lasted approximately 41 minutes before services were restored.
