A shocking video of a woman falling off a Rapido bike mid-ride has gone viral on social media, sparking conversations around rider safety and app-based transport services.

The video, shared by Instagram user Priyanka, shows her sitting on the back of a Rapido two-wheeler, casually recording herself during the ride. Moments later, the bike loses balance, and both the rider and pillion fall onto the road.

In the caption of the now-viral post, which has received over 1.2 million views, Priyanka shared her terrifying experience.

“Rapido, ek bas aap logon pe khud se zyada bharosa tha, woh bhi tod diya,” she wrote.

She explained that the Rapido driver refused to give her a helmet and wasn’t wearing one himself either. According to her, the driver was taking wrong turns, riding on the wrong side of the road, and making sharp twists, which made her so anxious that she decided to record the ride.

The situation turned serious when the Rapido bike crashed into another two-wheeler, right in front of a Delhi Police vehicle. Despite witnessing the incident, the police reportedly took no action, and Priyanka had to pay the injured Rapido rider herself before walking the rest of the way.

“This might be the first time I felt super unsafe during a Rapido ride,” she added.

“@rapidoapp should hire responsible people, not riders who behave like they have nine lives.”

Rapido Responds

As the video went viral, Rapido responded in the comment section: “Thank you for confirming that you're fine. As per your request, we are not taking any action against the captain involved. However, if you face any similar issue in future rides, please feel free to reach out to us.”
