The post was shared on Instagram by user Karga Tinkle Gongo, who addressed a comment that referred to her as Chinese despite her being Indian. Her response highlighted India’s diversity and encouraged people to be more understanding rather than making assumptions based on appearance.



Girl Responds To ‘Chinese’ Comment With Powerful Message

In the caption accompanying the video, the girl acknowledged that she may not fit some people’s idea of what an Indian looks like. However, she pointed out that the country is home to people with diverse appearances, cultures, languages and traditions.

“Maybe I don’t look the way you expected an Indian person to look, but India has always been a beautiful mix of different faces, cultures, languages, and traditions,” she wrote.

She also expressed pride in her identity and her roots while mentioning that she was happy to speak Hindi.

Addressing the comment that caught her attention, she said the remark about Chinese children speaking Hindi actually made her smile, but hoped people would become more curious and less judgmental.

“So yes, this ‘Chinese bacche Hindi bol lete hai’ comment made me smile, but I hope next time we can be a little more curious and a little less judgmental. We’re all human first. Sending love and good vibes,” she said.
