Hyundai Motor India has launched the updated Hyundai Verna sedan in India, with prices starting at Rs 10.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The refreshed model brings design updates, enhanced safety features, upgraded cabin technology and improved performance options, as the company aims to strengthen the Verna’s position in the mid-size sedan segment.

The launch took place in Gurugram, where the automaker highlighted more than 25 updates across styling, comfort, safety and powertrain elements.

Updated Hyundai Verna Price in India

The new Hyundai Verna price in India starts at Rs 10,98,400 for the base variant, while the top-end variant goes up to Rs 18,25,400 (ex-showroom).

The sedan is available in six variants: HX2, HX4, HX6, HX6+, HX8 and HX10. The model offers both naturally aspirated petrol and turbocharged petrol engine options paired with multiple transmission choices.

Hyundai Verna Design Updates and Exterior Features

The updated Hyundai Verna sedan receives several exterior enhancements aimed at giving it a more premium appearance.

Key design changes include:

• New black chrome radiator grille
• Dual LED projector headlamps
• Redesigned front and rear bumpers
• R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels
• Two new colour options: Classy Blue and Titan Grey Matte

The Verna continues to offer one of the largest dimensions in its segment, including a 2,670 mm wheelbase, 1,765 mm width, and an overall length of 4,565 mm, which Hyundai says improves cabin space and comfort.

Hyundai Verna Safety Features and ADAS Technology

As per the company, safety has been significantly enhanced in the updated model.

The Verna now offers Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which includes 20 driver assistance features, such as:

• Forward collision warning
• Autonomous emergency braking
• Lane keeping assist
• Lane departure warning
• Driver attention warning

The sedan also offers seven airbags on select variants, along with a wide range of standard safety features including:

• Six airbags
• ABS with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD)
• Electronic stability control (ESC)
• Vehicle stability management (VSM)
• Hill-start assist
• ISOFIX child-seat mounts
• Rear parking sensors

Additional technology includes blind-spot view monitor, rain-sensing wipers and a built-in dashcam.

Hyundai Verna Interior Features and Technology

Inside the cabin, the updated Verna offers premium comfort and advanced technology features.

Highlights include:

• Dual 10.25-inch integrated screens for infotainment and digital instrument cluster
• Bose premium eight-speaker sound system
• Leatherette seat upholstery
• Electric driver seat with memory function
• Electric passenger seat adjustment

Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

The car also comes with Hyundai’s Bluelink connected car platform, which supports more than 70 connected features.

Other convenience features include a rear sunshade, ambient lighting, rear AC vents with USB ports and a large 528-litre boot space.

Hyundai Verna Engine and Performance Options

The Hyundai Verna 2026 update continues with two petrol engine options.

1. 1.5-litre MPi Petrol Engine

• Available with 6-speed manual or IVT automatic
• Designed for everyday driving and fuel efficiency

2. 1.5-litre Turbo GDi Petrol Engine

• Produces 160 PS power
• Delivers 253 Nm torque
• Available with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT)

The turbo variant is among the most powerful engines in the segment, according to Hyundai.

Additional features include drive modes (Normal, Eco and Sport), paddle shifters on DCT variants and idle stop-and-go technology.
