Hyundai Motor India said on Thursday December 15, 2022 that it will raise prices for all model vehicles from next month, citing rising input costs. It said that the price hike is due to an increase in input cost. The company said that it continues to absorb rising costs but will pass on a part of the input cost to customers. Hyundai is a south korean brand launched on 29 December 1967 brought to india by tata industries in the year 1996.

The company joins market leaders such as Maruti Suzuki India, Tata Motors, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Renault, Kia India and MG Motor, who also partly offset the impact at the end of the year by raising prices starting next month.

Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) said in a statement "While the company has continued to absorb rising costs, it will pass on some of the higher input costs through price revisions across its model range,". The new prices for the HMIL model range will take effect from January 2023, he said, but did not elaborate on the range of proposed price increases.

Due to cost pressure from inflation and regulatory requirements, Hero MotoCorp has increased ex-showroom prices for its motorcycles and scooters from December 1st. Tata Motors announced on Tuesday that it will increase its commercial vehicle prices by 2% from next January due to rising input costs. Then, the input cost of the price increase was announced.

HMIL said it will "continue consistent internal efforts to minimise the price impact on customers."
