The IMD Hyderabad on Wednesday extended its cold wave warning for multiple districts of Telangana for two more days
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted clear skies partly cloudy towards afternoon or evening in Hyderabad for Thursday, December 11, 2025. The minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to hover around 12 degrees Celsius and 29 degrees Celsius, respectively. On the other hand, a cold wave is set to grip Telangana over the next three days and the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has warned that the spell may extend further.

The temperatures are expected to fall across Hyderabad and other regions of Telangana, with the IMD-Hyderabad and independent weather trackers forecasting severe cold wave conditions for the coming week.

Hyderabad Weather Today

The IMD Hyderabad on Wednesday extended its cold wave warning for multiple districts of Telangana for two more days. The IMD-Hyderabad forecast on Wednesday indicates minimum temperatures are expected to drop 3 degrees C to 4 degrees C below normal in several regions, including Adilabad, Komuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy.

The severe cold wave alert issued by IMD-Hyderabad is valid till Friday, December 12, 2025. The minimum temperatures in Hyderabad and surrounding districts, including Medchal-Malkajgiri, Rangareddy, Medak, and Bhongir, are expected to hover between 11 degrees Celsius and 15 degrees Celsius, IMD-Hyderabad indicated.

Meanwhile, independent weather trackers from Hyderabad in their forecast said the coldwave conditions will be even more severe from Wednesday night across Telangana.

While parts of Hyderabad and surrounding districts are expected to record minimum temperatures around 8 degrees Celsius, temperatures in Western and Northern districts of Telangana could drop to as low as 5 degrees Celsius, according to independent weather trackers. The ongoing severe cold wave conditions are expected to last for the next 4 to 5 days, they added.

-Telangana

"Dense fog conditions very likely to prevail during morning hours in isolated pockets of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram during 11th -15th; over Himachal Pradesh and Northeast Uttar Pradesh during 11th -13th; over Uttarakhand and Odisha on 11th & 12th; over Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh during 13th -15th December," the IMD said.
