Hyderabad restaurant Green Bawarchi catches fire, no casualty till now

On Saturday morning, the people of Raidurgam experienced a devastating fire. The fire broke out in a restaurant named Green Bawarchi in Hyderabad at around 11.30 AM. The primary reason for the fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit.

Although around 20-30 customers were present on the rooftop with 10 workers of the restaurant, no casualties have been reported till now.

The fire first broke out on the restaurant’s first floor and massively spread to the entire building. The two floors of the restaurant were completely engulfed in flames. Thankfully, the fire brigade rushed to the spot on time and controlled the fire before it could spread more. The firefighters helped those people stuck in the fire to come out safely with the help of a ladder and snorkel.


Eyewitnesses said that the moment they noticed the flames surfacing on the building, they immediately alerted the restaurant management. Meanwhile, the fire spread swiftly throughout the building within only a few minutes, and people stuck there could not come out.

According to those eyewitnesses, the Fire And Rescue Services Department immediately informed about the fire break-out. As a result, three to five fire engines reached the spot to extinguish the fire and rescued people who got stuck inside the restaurant.

The Raidurgam police also coordinated with the first department in this rescue operation. They also reached the incident spot almost immediately and helped people come out safely when the blaze devoured most parts of the building. People who were injured in this incident were immediately taken to the nearest hospital and given first aid.

Till now, it has been reported that the building management didn’t provide any fire safety equipment. Moreover, there was no trace of an emergency exit in the restaurant, as per the report.
