Second lift accident in a month
This is the second lift-related accident in Telangana within a month. Earlier this week, a senior police officer died after falling into a lift shaft at an apartment complex in Sircilla town on Monday night.The officer, Thota Gangaram, 59, was the commandant of the 17th Police Battalion at Sardapur in Rajanna Sircilla district. He had previously served as the chief security officer at the secretariat.

Gangaram had visited the residence of his colleague, Sircilla DSP Chandrasekhar Reddy, near the new bus stand in Sircilla town. After their meeting, he proceeded towards the lift on the third floor.
