How to check who has logged into your Netflix account? Know everything about password sharing rules
Have you ever shared your Netflix password with someone like a roommate, an ex-partner or dorm-mate? Well, it's possible that more people are using your account than you realize, and the identity of those people might surprise you.

In light of Netflix's plans to crack down on password sharing, it's important to be aware of who has access to your account. With the increasing competition in the streaming industry and a return to pre-pandemic viewing habits, Netflix is no longer encouraging password sharing with friends and family as it did before. In fact, it has become essential to check whether anyone is accessing your account without your authorization.

An overview of Netflix's new password sharing rule

Netflix estimates that around 100 million individuals use someone else's account to watch content on their platform. Netflix's tweet from 2017 saying Love is sharing a password, didn't seem to age well and the guidelines have changed.

Starting later this year, the company will introduce an additional fee for U.S. subscribers who share their login credentials with individuals outside their household.

Netflix stresses that their service is intended for household sharing, meaning individuals living in the same location as the account holder. People who do not reside in the same household should create their own account to access Netflix's content.

If you suspect that someone is using your Netflix account without your consent, there are ways to check and ensure that only authorized users can access your account.
