A Bengaluru couple has shared a detailed breakdown of their expenses after moving into a three-bedroom apartment in the city, with their total relocation cost coming to ₹2.53 lakh.

In a video posted on Instagram, Ana Mishra explained that she and her partner, Ishan, recently moved into a 3BHK in South Bengaluru. While Mishra relocated from another apartment within Bengaluru, Ishan moved to the city from Kolkata.

₹1.5 Lakh Spent On House Deposit

The largest expense during the move was the security deposit for their new home. Mishra said, "So our biggest chunk of money went in the deposit, of course, and we paid 1.5 lakhs for a 3 BHK apartment in South Bangalore,".

Brokerage Cost ₹37,000

The couple also decided to use a broker to help with their house search rather than managing the entire process themselves. "You can definitely find a house without a broker and we did not want to do all the work by ourselves, so a broker really helped us, and brokerage cost us one month rent, which is 37,000," Mishra added.

₹60,000 For Moving Furniture

"We shipped our bed, shoe rack, dining table, king-size sofa, and the whole thing cost us 60,000 rupees, which was totally worth it. All our stuff came properly, nothing broke, no scratches," she said.

Other Moving Expenses

Mishra spent an additional ₹3,000 to transport her personal belongings from her previous Bengaluru apartment to the new home.

The couple also opted to rent essential appliances, including a washing machine, refrigerator and water purifier, for ₹2,800 per month. Moving their existing Wi-Fi connection to the new apartment cost another ₹700.

Total Moving Cost: ₹2,53,500

Adding up their expenses, the couple spent ₹2,53,500 on the entire relocation process. Mishra clarified that this amount did not include additional expenses on home décor and other items purchased for their new apartment.

"So in total, we spent 2,53,500 rupees on our entire moving process," Mishra said.
