How many people fit into an auto? This video will stun you

A video now going viral shows an auto carrying 8, 9, or 10, but 27 people. Yes, twenty-seven people. The driver had 26 passengers, including adults and children.

The video is from Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh, where police stopped the auto which seemed to be over-speeding and overcrowded.

It was reportedly spotted near the Bindki Kotwali area of Fatehpur where the police have a speed gun. The police then chased it down.


Imagine their shock when they realised that 'overcrowded' was an understatement. Out emerged, one by one, 27 people. Watch this video to see how it unfolded.


The video went viral on Twitter, and people had a field day commenting on this new record. Some user even demanded stronger population control laws, saying "By the time the government creates 2 crore self-employment, 10 crore unemployed will be created by then."

The auto, needless to say, has been seized and the driver booked for violation of traffic rules and regulations.
